The Coach with Heart & Purpose. 

Hi, I'm Tuğçe Koçoğlu-Hobden, Founder of Coaching with Heart & Purpose and Host of Light Conversations.

I was born in the beautiful city of Istanbul, Turkey. I took my first steps in Warsaw and my earliest memories are of living in Berlin and watching tropical fish swim by from a glass bottomed boat in the French Virgin Island of St Croix. I went to kindergarten and first grade in Chicago before moving to London when I was 6. I now live in South West Hertfordshire with my husband and two children.

I was a curious child and developed an interest in people, culture and psychology at a very young age. I knew from early on that one day I would work in the field of Personal Development. Although my journey was not straightforward, I've learned many valuable lessons along the way.

Fast forward, many years later and I am still very curious and passionate about people and finally back on my path working as a Certified Transformational Coach*, specialising in Leadership and Life Coaching.

I am also a Certified Kundalini Yoga Teacher, having completed my 200HR YTT Teacher Training at Kundalini University**.  Kundalini Yoga is also often called the Yoga of Awareness.  It is a practice designed to give you the tools you need to raise your awareness or your Kundalini energy.

I am an alchemist and an explorer, blending the power of Transformational Coaching with the ancient Wisdom, Science and Technology of Kundalini. I support my clients to transmute and transform energy, accelerating their growth and expansion to help them become the Leaders they were born to be.

Both Transformational Coaching and Kundalini Yoga are two powerful technologies, facilitating the development process of awareness, growth and change on a deep and long lasting level. I believe that blending them accelerates our growth and expansion exponentially.

I also teach automatic writing, turning journaling into channeling, by connecting with our inner wisdom, or guides, to receive guidance on everyday challenges.

It is my mission to help you re-discover what you are truly capable of, to reclaim your superpowers and unveil your master within. 

Over the years I have learnt to embrace my introvert, empathic and highly sensitive nature. I LOVE meeting new people, having meaningful conversations - I'm afraid I don't do small talk well! As much as I enjoy connecting with others it can leave me drained but I have learned to tune into to my body and know when it's time to say no, step back and recharge.

Creativity is one of my gifts - cooking, painting and drawing. I believe I can inject creativity into most thing, including excel spreadsheets!

As well as having a daily practice of Kundalini Yoga, Breathwork and Meditation, I am a passionate off-road runner and I also coach my daughter's U9 football (soccer!) team. I believe that football/soccer needs support from the divine feminine!

Prior to becoming a Transformational Coach, I gained my BA (HONS) in Psychology & Communications. After graduating I spent 18 months travelling our beautiful planet before feeling I 'ought to'  get a real job.

I spent the next 18 years working in Global Digital Media Planning developing integrated Digital and Offline strategies for many Fortune 100 companies: HTC, Vodafone, Sony CE, PlayStation, Hewlett Packard Inc and Apple.

As an Executive Director I managed and led many multi-million dollar Forbes 100 Global Clients. I understand Senior Clients's business needs, how to effectively build teams, nurture and develop them through training, appraisals, mentorship and coaching. I also understand collective success, the power of diversity and how to empower people to work productively, collaboratively and build trusting relationships. Having worked on a Global scale I know what it means to be empathic to every person, no matter what their role and no matter where they are, by encouraging and inspiring them to align to a common outcome.

On paper I was "successful" but I was out of balance. My work-life balance was non-existent, I was addicted to my smartphone, my people pleasing tendencies were on over-drive, I felt that success could only be earned by working hard, my default state was a victim/blame mindset, I suffered from mummy guilt, I sought comfort in food, I was exhausted and barely made time to exercise. My immune system was weak due to living in constant state of anxiety and stress. My mind, body and soul were out of alignment. I wasn't living my soul's purpose but I kept ignoring the whispers, which soon became loud knocks, until I was in a state of dis-ease.

Finally, I woke up.

Burn out is a very common medical condition, especially amongst women in the corporate world. The corporate world, although slowly changing, is structured in a way that accepts and operates in the Masculine way of doing - but we are all energy and a balance of masculine and feminine, ying and yang. However, when we are constantly operating on masculine energy, I believe it causes burnout, for women as well as men.

I know what it is like to suffer from anxiety, stress and burnout, to not listen to your body or the whispers of your soul when it is telling you to pay attention and showing you signs that something is out of alignment. For me I had to face illness but it doesn't have to be that way.

We have to unlearn so much and relearn to trust in ourselves - our inner guidance, inner GPS, guides or angels, whatever it is you call your intuition.  We have to go deep within, face our shadows, heal, transmute and integrate. We are ALL capable of making changes and creating shifts, when we take a moment to slow down, be still, get out of our heads and back into our bodies and tune into our inner wisdom and hearts.

By taking purposeful and aligned action, these small, powerful shifts, can have a huge lasting impact in our lives.
